True Platinum * Star Experience
On CO Mike today I experienced an unusual * experience. I checked on the manifest (I'm having a nasty habit of checking them out on each flight) and I noticed I was the only * on-board. I was sitting in the middle of a full F cabin GUM-NRT.
During the boarding process, I was greeted by name and was asked a pre-departure drink before the other passengers. And in flight, I was asked 1st for my choice of meal ...and was served first. During the flight, the flight attendants made 2 extra trips out to see how I was doing and to check if they could refill my drinks.
Prior to landing, they came over to make sure I had a nice flight and wished me well on my future travels.
At the exit onto the gateway, the flight attendants wished me well again by name... as did the NRT-based ground agent (who gets an A for effort but F for pronounciation of my name) at the jetway.
This added a nice layer of 1st class service by the always friendly/amicable CO Mike staff. If this is what CO invisions its * program to be, kudos to them. But I've yet to see any similar personalized experience on domestic flights.

Again, I got to ask- how did you review a copy of the passenger manifest? Did the gate agent just print you out a copy? Isn't the passenger manifest confidental information?</font>

I saw one on an international flight too... but this one just listed name and OnePass status, if any.... it didn't show any star status or show any special star column.
