So 100 million of those paper "elite priority" things they put with your bag tags or 10 million plastic ones.....definitely a money decision</font>
Actually, some folks were selling the tags on eBay and others were using them when they were no longer elite. Using the paper ones allows them to give priority service to only those who qualify for it -- including the new "elite for a day" full fare pax.

When going thru ATL last week, my Priority tags were removed. I called Onepass to request new ones and they explained that the tags are now printed at check-in, and will not be included in the kits this year. Darn! I kinda liked my Elite plastic tags!</font>
On one of my three ERJ flights last week (I forget which one) the GA printed a priority elite tag for my gate checked bag. I had never seen that before on a gate checked bag (or on any other checked bag, for that matter).

That would be correct if the bags actually received priority-but in the majority of the time I've found this not to be the case

What do you suppose that the new paper tags will sell for on eBay?

Mine came with a genuine Persian flying carpet. The instructions simply said "In lieu of trying to find a Standard Reward Ticket, sit comfortably on carpet, cross your arms, nod your head in the direction of your desire destination, and see what happens"
I tried it and got the same result.
