Flying on Delta
I'm lifetime President's Club member and a Gold Elite on Continental.
Anyone have any experiences flying on Delta from JFK?
I just bought a ticket off of Delta's web site, and with Delta I'm Mr. Zero miles nobody.
How do I go about associating the miles to my Continental account, and what are the benefits I should be looking for either before I get to the airport or at the gate for a domestic flight?
Thanks,
- Cwipes

Simply call Delta and give them your OnePass number or present your OnePass card upon check-in. The miles will credit to your OnePass account. Different fares earn different amounts of Elite qualfying miles. There are basically no OnePass Elite benefits on Delta other than priority boarding privileges and ability to check-in at the line designated for Medallion members. Presidents Club members can access the Crown Room when presenting their card and a Delta boarding pass.
These benefits do NOT apply to SONG-operated flights.
I suggest reading the OnePass website which spells out the details for you.

I'm not that new... I'm looking for some advice from someone who's elite on Continental and has flown on Delta. I've checked out the Delta Forum and there have been instances where the Delta traveller has been bumped up to FC on CO.
Does Delta have/do Elite seating or something similar? I just looked at my seating arrangements and the flight I'm on seems to be kinda tight, and I'm way in the back.
What are my chances of getting a better seat from the ticketing agents in their Crown Room?
Thanks,

No, you will not receive "Elite seating" in coach unless you find a friendly agent willing to go against protocal. Good luck with that. On the day of departure, I would think a Crown Room Club agent would be willing to help you obtain a better seat in coach (if such a thing exists).
Any upgrades received by a SkyMiles Medallion on Continental or vice versa is purely luck-- either through operational necessity or an uninformed agent.

Can CO Silver get you through DL's Elite Security Lines at SFO and ATL when flying in Y?

I would be surprised if a CO Silver got to use the security lanes since the DL equivalent, DL Silver does not have access to these lines. Only DL Gold, Platinum, Crown Room, First, and Business passengers get access to these lanes.

I was able to move myself from row 44A to 22C on the day of the flight with the help of Mr. Computer and delta's online check-in. The economy class section begins at row 19.
I wasn't able to get myself on the FC upgrade list, but I'm getting closer. I'll try that at the Crown Room. That's all I wanted.
Thanks,
