Chase CC "Upgrade" Package

Several months ago, I received a letter telling me of an automatic upgrade of my Chase Platinum MC to a World MC, and as an added bonus I would receive some sort of certificate package good for a free companion ticket, fare discount, pres club access, etc. I received the card, but still have not received any of the "goodies". Anyone else in a similar situation?

Thanks in advance.

I too received this letter, and was p***** off that the "automatic upgrade" included a higher annual fee, for what was in my situation very little benefit. I consider this type of marketing a scam, and I had to call them to decline their "automatic upgrade".

I too got an "upgrade" from standard blue Visa to Visa Signature. My initial reposne to 99% of this kind if thing is to immediately so no. The only real added benefit of new card is double miles for dollars spent at CO and certain retailers. Did the math (at .01/mile) and figured that given my spending habait, it was worth it so I bit. Was promised some goodies, but haven't seen squat yet.
I figure it's like EVRYTHING else these days:
Step 1) fraudulent company practices to shaft consumers by denying delivery of promised benefits
Step 2) fight like hell with some CSR on the phone
Step 3) document everything
Step 4) finally get what was promised to me after weeks of multiple calls and/or letters
Step 5) vote on Election Day for corrupt politicians who are in the pockets of the corrupt business people who make the...
(Return to step 1 and repeat)

Chase is the pits. The Bonus Pack was to be sent after 6 months of having the card as per the offer. Several calls to CS later (have had the card almost a full year) to no avail; they act totally ignorant about the offer, know not what the Bonus Pack is, and say to call not Chase, but CO, to get it (NOT!). Had a problem with them on another card of theirs, which they likewise ignored. Plan to dump the card before another annual fee hits.
