Two Positive Experiences With CO
I consider myself neither a CO apologist nor a CO whiner. Here a two positive experiences I have had with CO this past week, please interpret them as you see fit:
Last week, my morning MCO flight was delayed for an hour or so as we attempted to take off three different times with each attempt aborted by an warning light in the cockpit. This week, I received a very nice apology letter from CO, accompanied by 500 OnePass miles and 3 Pres Club passes. I personally consider mechanical delays to "come with the territory", and was already appriciative of getting to my destination safely due to the skill of the CO ground and flight crews. The letter, miles and passes were a pleasant suprise.
This week I noticed that, as of May, 2003 the early morning Monday flight from MCO to EWR was removed. The earliest I could get to EWR on CO was by noon. I sent an e-mail to Gordon Bethune and Onepass last night at 6:30 PM expressing my concern and noting that I, as well as many other business Elites on that flight would have difficulty being loyal to CO with this schedule change. This morning, I received a personal telephone call from the CO Director of Scheduling. He informed me that my e-mail was sent to him, the V.P. of Schedulng Glen Hauenstein, and President Larry Kellner by 7:15 PM (45 minutes later). He informed me that the flight had been deleted by error, and it would be returned as soon as possible. So, if any of you would like a flight added to CO scheduling to better suit your travel needs, just let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Hey Joey, since you seem to have some pull in the scheduling department, how about suggesting a new Houston-Milan nonstop flight? I could really use it!!

Really, Joey, I'm surprised you haven't gotten your pals in the scheduling department on these flights already!!
So many destinations... so many connections (unfortunately).

how about putting back some of the SAN-EWR flights (and vice versa?)
I think at one point the only flights that exist are the 7am and the redeye. Not a wealth of choices there.

Wow, I just received an e-mail from the Executive Vice President of Scheduling reiterating that CO will fix the problem. He was very nice. What is fantastic is that his e-mail to me shows the entire e-mail chain, starting with my e-mail. About 15 minutes after receipt of my e-mail, Gordon Bethune forwarded it to the CO President and two Executive Vice Presidents (with a very concise query). I have tried to stay neutral on the "Love CO" vs. "Hate CO" issue, but I am more than a little impressed by this.

So what exactly is the magic email address that gets Mr. Bethune's attention?
