Interesting observation-EUA window
I have been closely tracking a flight this Wednesday for a friend who is a Gold. IAH-EWR, the past 2 days have shown A9 F0, except for this AM when F2 popped up for only an hour or so. I think all the flights to EWR were A7-9, F0-1 until 0015 CST when EVERY FLIGHT (out of 8) went to A4 D4 F4 Y7 H7 K7 B7 V7 Q7 T7-Even when many were Q0 T0. Of course NO EUA. The only thing I can surmise is that CO wants folks to use their miles to upgrade. Of course this is great for non elites, but it sucks for elites. We'll see.

Yes and no. After 1/1/03, non-elites won't be able to use miles to upgrade B, V, Q, or T fares at all. Hub to hub flights like IAH-EWR are notoriously hard to get an EUA upgrade on. A quick search of the forum will show you other topics like yours. But make no mistake, someone at CO must be able to show that they can get more revenue out of F seats by holding them back from EUA. There must be some kind of revenue advantage by getting folks to burn miles for an upgrade....

My experience has been that "A4 D4 F4 Y7 H7 K7 B7 V7 Q7 T7" means that the display for that flight is broken. The A4/Y7 deal with missing E class isn't reliable data.

I have never seen any thing but F0
Checked a flight for next Saturday, since the record was scrambled and it isn't available on the internet or for electronic check in causing me to be left out of the EUA pool for the first leg
1 LAX IAH 0700 1216 CO 786 A4 D4 F0 Y9 H9 K9 B9 V9 Q0 T0 767*C
2 LAX IAH 0815 1331 CO 155 A4 D4 F0 Y2 H0 K0 B0 V0 Q0 T0 757*C
If you try to book a flight there are 16 and 11 seats availbale for these two flights which doesn't add up ro A4 D4 F0

As I mentioned in this thread, ITN always display faulty number on midnight Sunday morning for most of the flights. In reality, it is F0 if you call and check for availability.
