EUA on NWA flight
I got a NW flight coming up soon. I bought a paper ticket through a consolidator.
I've never flown on such a ticket before (usually, I buy an eticket at nwa.com). I'd like to know if there is a way to have NW let me know about the status of the upgrade without calling them. If not, do I need to keep calling them until I am cleared and then ask them to assign me a seat over the phone?
Thanks.

>>>> Edited to add.....
Sorry the following is if you have your WP number associated with the res. if you have your OP number, I'm guessing you can import the res. into your itins on the CO.com site
>>>>
Go to NWA.com, under the blue "travel planning" section on the upper bar, select "view/change reservations" It will prompt you for your last name, WP number, pin, and month of travel.(click box) If your WP number is associated with the reservation, the reservation will be listed. Click on the "view" reservation and it will pop up. Then select "More Info: Seats, flight details" and it will show your seating class (economy or first) and your seat assignment.

Hmm -- if I change the FF number on a NW ticket from OnePass to WorldPerks, do you think nwa.com would pick up the ticket and display it in my online account? If so -- that would allow me to view and change seat assignments. Then after I've done that, I can change the ticket back to my OnePass account...

The mere presence of a WP number won't allow you to change seats online. Additionally, NW and CO have cracked down on account switching, with Elite upgrades and Select Seating Y assignments being revoked if the customer chooses to earn miles on the non-Elite account.

In this situation it's pretty simple -
1) Call NW to make sure they have your CO number (assuming that's the elite one).
2) View the itinerary online at www.nwa.com. Once you get your EUA, it will reflect F class.
Unless I book through my corporate travel or at nwa.com, I never assume that NW has me CO number with the itinerary.
