didnt think that VDA could handle a 777. Thats interesting. Thanks for the post. I guess those who dont fly the route would prefer anything having to do with it not be posted
I heard something on the TV news that the fuel in TLV was polluted, nothing else said except that all of LYs flights and all others were cancelled. Guess they found a way around it. Wonder why all the fuel in the country wasnt polluted? will be interesting to see what exactly took place.

Man am I glad i wasnt on the 91 that was suppose to leave TLV on 4/18. Not only did it have to go to VDA to get the fuel, but from the CO website it was diverted again to LGW due to a Mandatory Crew rest so instead of getting into EWR on 4/19 at 4;45am its now expected in at 7:30pm.
What I dont understand is why CO lists the reason at VDA as 'Aircraft Replaced'. I guess CO had to put everyone up in hotels at LGW. But its sure to mess up the shed of the flights with that bird being so late in arriving.

tom Joad,
I meant to call up and check what happened with the 91. a few months ago when TLV was closed due to a strike the 90 was diverted to FCO where she sat till the next day. Co had to renumber the flight the next day to a 4 # one, i guess since the 90 is a daily flight EWR-TLV it would have confused things.
Now, what I dont understand is since 99% of the time the 91 goes out full on a daily basis, how did they get everyone onto the other flights, since Im sure that most of the passengers have EWR as their final stop. I saw that CO has both a 777 & 767 from LGW-EWR. But unless they were empty where did they put all the passngers from the 91? Unless they simply rebooked 'em onto other carriers, either way its gonna cost CO a pretty $, and then they will still have to fly the bird back to the states empty. I guess they can always fill it up with cargo and make their $$ that way since the hold should be empty of all bags.

HA HA HA I am still pretty open minded as well as a very much "laid back" person. I am no imposter don't worry. Nothing wrong with my fesityness is there? It's just that some people on here have peeved me lately with some totally seemingly unrealistc view of people or some unrequired attitude (to which I'll so some attitude back), but in the case of this post - it was some good old fashion sarcam in an attempt to be funny. Perhaps in this situation my attempt was not accordinly realiezed inw hich case I apologize.
