I find that checking in at the 24 hour mark will not yield a R upgrade. It is later in the day when the R upgrade bucket is released - so it is really a lottery as to who checks at what time. Hence, a Silver could check in just at the right time and get an upgrade, with Plat on the standby list from first sequence number check in.

This might or might not be true, but right now,with EUA messed up, I need to go with what worked most recently. I checked in this morning at precisely the 24 hour point and received upgrades on the two early flights I have tomorrow. These were the flights where exactly 5 out of 32 FC seats were occupied at 5 minutes before I checked in. If you have a chance, go back and read my posts on this thread. For whatever reason, flights are not being filled with elites until the 24 hour point.

I'm not sure it's messed up. I just got EUA notifiation for a Friday night LAS->EWR flight. I guess I'm now 1 for 10 for the year...

ummm... no game over at NWA.... i can't remember when I havn't gotten my ugrades at the 5 day mark... even got upgrades on my AWARD ticket to the CO DO... this last weekend did a run to NGO... DCA-MSP-LAX was at the 5 day (actually 6 days, but don't tell anyone) ... same with my DTW-DCA return... also got an op-up to WBC as the flight was oversold... the gate agent said "i'll upgrade you as you're one of our platinum elite members... " :D

I was being a bit sarcastic about the game thing... I hate it just like everyone else... I am very happy that you are happy getting nearly all EUA over on your side of the fence, but I still don't really like the NWA FC productm which is enough to keep me on CO Metal... and willing to play these lil games...

Weird... I just checked my CO.com account and saw that I got my EUA for my Jamaica trip this Friday. The weird part is, no email was sent. So, EUA is working but maybe without email notification?

I'm not sure its working completely. I just flew PHL-IAH-OAK. On the 6 AM out of PHL, on a 738 there were 3 battlefield upgrades and 4 seats went out empty.
When I checked my Friday OAK-IAH-DTW I was upgraded on the IAH-DTW trip (738) but not on the 6:25 AM OAK-IAH which shows 5 out of 14 FC seats assigned, and we are 2 days out.

Just checked my final return segment....not a single FC seating change in the past few days. It's a 752 and the only seats showing occupied are the traditional airport-assigned bulkheads on the right side. One window seat on the bulkhead A side is assigned. Everything else is wide open.

Tonight should open the window for Golds, so it will be interesting to see if anything changes. I can't be the only Plat on this flight, so it looks like everyone is waiting. I don't see them holding the entire cabin for last minute sales on this particular flight, so something really must be broken.

As I posted earlier, my EWR-LAS flight on Monday was the same way... they gave out 12 upgrades at the gate and not a single person was EUA'd.

Of course, we could all be looking at this the wrong way. Perhaps the seating charts are broken :D :D :D

I received my EAU last night for my flight Monday morning- TPA - IAH. Interesting though the 757-200 does not show a 1B. Anyone know why this would happen?

This seat may be held for the skymarshall and released if there is none on the flight. If you are the first one on the plane and there is someone in 1B, you have sucessfully identified a sskymarshall

I got all 4 of my upgrades for my flight this weekend at the 5 day mark. The same as I always do. 100%. I'll take my NW cloth seats up front anyday. :)
