will CO allow a code-share of a code-share partner?
I know this sounds convoluted, but I was looking at "the board" at EWR and saw a direct NW flight from EWR to MKE. I thought this was a bit strange.
It was flight 4600 and leaving from gate 40. So when I was on the monorail I looked for gate 40 and it was Midwest Express. So, it makes sense that the EWR/MKE segment of Midwest Express is a NW code-share.
I think I know the answer (Yes), but would CO allow for OP credit on a NW/Midwest Express operated code-share? Since CO only operates those dreadful ERJs to MKE I've opted for ORD and a rental car.
I was also trying to figure out if that opened up any other opportunities for somewhat "hidden" OP credit flights.
From what I hear, Midwest Express is a really nice airline in coach... leather seats, 2/2 configuration, good meals, etc...

NW and YX FF programs share the ability to book reward travel on each carrier.

FYI I'm having the same problem finding some of the AS/AA code-shares... the AS webstie doesn't even offer MIA as a destination...
When I search the AS website, or travelocity, for AS1662 MIA/SEA - (7:50a/11:24a 767-300) it also doesn't display as a valid flight.
FYI I am getting these flight numbers and segments from the AS electronic timetable.

OK, I think I have the answer finally...
The AS flight from EWR/ORD (operated by AA) is only a valid flight in the system if you are continuing on AS ORD/ANC.
AS1680 EWR/ANC does not exist if you are not using AS to go to ANC.
So, they are selective code shares only valid if you are connecting on that carrier.

The AS website does not have the capability of booking AS/AA codeshares yet. I have tried repeatedly to book LAS-EUG (Go DUCKS!!!) with a connection through LAX on the AS website but never worked. However, the LAX connection did show up on other websites like expedia or travelocity. If you want to book AS ticket with an AA codeshare try either expedia, travelocity or calling the AS reservations number directly.

CO 4600 is ITO (Hilo) to HNL, operated by HA383, a B717. Also known as NW9183.
All the EWR-MKE flights with CO flight numbers are CO Express ERJ's. I wonder how CO4600 ended up in EWR as a YX plane.

As long as it has a NW flight#, you'll be okay.
The best example of the above is where you got OnePass credit for Northwest coded flights on KLM equipment. OnePass did not allow OnePass credit if you bought a KLM ticket. But if you bought a NW ticket on KLM metal, you were okay. Of course it doesn't matter now with the CO/KLM alliance.
