free upgrades
I am a platinum on co. If anybody needs
an upgrade purchase a ticket for me an I will fly with you,win win situation. I get a free ticket and you an upgrade either mine or the companion upgrade I don't mind sitting in back.
I figure we at flyertalk should help each other out while we attain elite status and beyond. This is all perfectly legit since I am flying with somebody on the same flight and same itinerary.

just out of curiosity-- wouldn't you have to fly to the starting point of the journey? Who pays for that? And, with Silver being so very attainable these days, and considering EUA, for someone to need a day-of-travel Plat companion upgrade, they would have to be within the EUA window and missed it somehow-- and well..nevermind.

And never mind the fact that a companion upgrade is day of the flight. I've had only ok (50% or so) success getting companion upgrades during the few times I've tried. This is the equivalent of the intl upgrade lottery - buy me a ticket, and you might get an upgrade.

Hey, guys...........look at the bright side of this offer. Sure you give up a little, but you get to meet, drink and talk with a really nice well-rounded, multi-college educated, knowledgeable-about-everything, guy* (and he sez he knows a lotta "young HOT chicks" too).
The line forms over here...........in back of me.

What does he do for the Hotel portion before returning?
Maybe uses his Starwood status to upgrade and sleeps on the fold out sofa while giving you the master suite. Who gets to keep the shampoo and lotion?

Oh for a second I thought this was some sort of new Continental Marketing "Enhancement!?" A "Double Tickets Promo." Buy 2 tix for the uncertain chance of 1 upgrade?
I will also offer up my services to FT folks. If you can't stand the meals in coach and need somebody to eat your meal for you, buy me a ticket and I'll gladly scarf it down for you. Buy two tickets, a friend and myself will even eat your spouse's meal! The offer extends to BizFirst passengers as well. Act now!!!

For those who missed Arya alliances true colors in the AA forum:
"In my company as a managing parner I am allowed to buy full fare first. Instead I pocket the difference and buy a cheap economy ticket which my company allows. Don't be jealous because I have learned the system at a young age. Also I sell my miles and get my money back and then some. FF miles are just free space, make friends with employees and get passes. "
WHAT A CLASS ACT...

Listen, I don't care if you are the CFO of Infinite Airways (which strikes me as a distinct possibility, BTW,) you simply just don't go around calling people frogs.
