Misternice;

It is my understanding that when you sign up for the new Enhanced Privilege Pack they actually deduct 7500 miles from your OP account!

Also, the entire EPP package arrives COD and postage due-- allow 6-8 months for delivery.

Very much in line with the other recently announced enhancements.

Apparently it was a marketing disaster in that the marketing people did not foresee this kind of confusion resulting in bitterness toward Continental.</font>
The Privilege Packs have been around for years, and have been very successful, IMHO. A competent marketing department would have risen to the occasion and met this latest perceived challenge. These are not problems. These are solutions waiting and yearning to be solved and implemented! They could have fine tuned the wording, type size, or added CAPS, Bold or Italics in the fine print for clarity, if necessary. Revision, not deletion should have been the logical solution.

When I asked why the website didn't reflect this major change the lady said that it takes a while for any change to be implemented on the website. She said that this slowness in updating the website is making her job a lot more difficult.

Continental is an airline that can move tens of thousands of passengers throughout the world on several thousand flights in a single day and yet can't delete a few lines of information from their web site in a timely manner!!!!

Sad! Real Sad! Very Sad!

A fine airline just took one step forward and three steps back.

I fear that if CO announces "enhanced bagel availability at all domestic PC's, MisterNice will go off the deep end

Let's hope it doesn't come to that...

Just a kind way to say two steps backward.

Exactly my thoughts/sentiments about the purported "rationale" for the change. Sounds fallacious, as "the" problem could be remedied quite easily.

Another update... My wife called OnePass to ask why the update coupons weren't included in her Prestige Pack. She was told that they stopped sending them out on July 20. But since she had ordered the Pack before that date, she would be able to get them. Yaay! They should arrive in two weeks, just in time for our BUF-PHX weekend trip.

I don't know if they made an exception for her by agreeing to send the upgrade coupons...but if you ordered before July 20 and didn't receive them, it's worth calling to see if they'll still send them to you.

(I guess this makes up for the bad luck my wife had on a US Airways flight this weekend...someone spilled liquid in the overhead bin, and it soaked through her bag and ruined the screen of her Thinkpad notebook. We didn't notice the damage until she reached home after traveling the second segment of her trip. Our home insurance will cover the accidental damage, but we have to pay the $500 deductible. )

That makes you think. I typically place my computer case in the overhead compartment. Should I wrap my computer in a plastic bag before I put it into the case in order to protect it?
