Change in EUA?
It's been a while since have I posted because I have had no queries since all was good. But now, 2005 calender year OnePass changes, new CEO, change in seat numbers released to EUA, who knows?
I refer only to the EUA process since the airport upgrade process, especially out of EWR, is not credible because it has no accountability due to its private, non-reviewable (either by customers or superiors) process. If I am not EUAed, I presume I am in in the back.
I fly MCO-EWR weekly, 100 flights a year. I am Platinum.
In 2003 I was EUAed 99% of the time 99/100-- missed one due to a convention in MCO.
In 2004 I was also EUAed 99% of the time 99/100-- another convention.
Of my 5 return flights out of EWR this year I have been EUAed ZERO times 0/5 (and yes, my OnePass Number is on my ticket because I was EUAed on the outbound legs out of MCO).
Has anyone else's EUA batting average dropped so precipitously since 2005?
Any possible theories, conspiracy or otherwise, would be greatly appreciated.

I'm gold. I did 14 transcon segments last year and was EUAd on 6 of them. So far this year I've done 4 of these segments and been EUAd on none. Transcons are historically the most unpredictable, though.

Remember, were in the transitional twilight zone between the 2004 and 2005 Elite programs, who knows how many unsuspecting elites are gonna get the axe with 50% club.
p.s. When the heck is CO gonna post the details of the 2005 porbram on the website?

We are continuing to evolve the OnePass program so that we can better meet the travel needs of our best customers. Remember, you can get the most out of OnePass by doing as much business through continental.com as possible, reaching your Elite goals and taking advantage of reward travel and upgrade opportunities.
Please familiarize yourself with the new elements of the OnePass program listed below.
Restricted travel dates eliminated.
Effective January 1, 2005, restricted travel dates for Standard Rewards may be eliminated, increasing the number of days available for reward travel. Capacity controls will still apply. Standard Rewards will not be available in all markets or on all flights.
Full Elite qualification at continental.com.
Our 2004 Elite qualification offer -- earn full Elite Qualification Miles and full Elite Qualification Points for every Economy Class fare purchased at continental.com and flown on Continental Airlines, Continental Express or Continental Connection -- will be considered ongoing as of January 1, 2005.*
Dedicated Elite Priority Desk.
Effective October 1, 2004, we will provide faster, more effective telephone assistance for all Elites. Our Elite Priority Lines will now be connected to a dedicated desk with customer service representatives specially trained to answer questions pertaining to our Elite travelers. These highly trained representatives are our most qualified agents and will be dedicated to providing our Elite members the highest level of service.
BusinessFirst mileage upgrade service fees.
Economy Class travelers will continue to have an opportunity to redeem miles to upgrade to our premium BusinessFirst cabin regardless of the fare purchased.+ Because of declining international Economy fares, upgrade service fees from our lower fares will increase++ for all requests made beginning January 1, 2005.

Upgrades and waitlists are subject to capacity controls that limit the number of seats available and customers waitlisted.

Far less EAU's
I'm gold. I've only been upgraded 2 of the last 16 segments I've this year. So far I've flown over 20,000 miles and after the first week of the year almost never. I'll drop to silver at the end of this month I expect never to get upgrade untill I make gold again in a couple of months.

No EUA's for me
I was EUA'd on EVERY SINGLE flight last year in and out of IAH. I am Platinum.
I have not received a single one this year, and I have flown 6 round trips so far.
I was finally upgraded on all but two of the flights at the airport, but not before. Something has definately changed.
I called the other day to check about spelling, middle names, and all that. They assured me everything was fine, but put my middle initial in the record to be sure, but so far no upgrades for this next weekend.
