comp to AAdvantage elite?

Hello everyone I'm new to this board. Will AAdvantage comp my wife and I to their equivalent elite level because we're both Continental Elite? If so what do I say to their rep to get them to comp me.

Generally, they are likely to comp CO/NW Gold & Plat to their Gold (roughly equvilant to CO/NW Silver).

You'll get a better answer on the AAdvantage board ... there is info there about their match program and Elite Challenge.

AAadvantage will comp you to one level less that your level on another airline. All you have to do is out your request in writing, say that you paln to use AA in the year 2000, make a copy of your elite card and mileage statement. Ask for the equivalent level - Gold = 25k, Platinum = 50k & Platinum Elite = 100k. They will comp you one level back. You can get the address at aa.com

Good Luck!

sign up for the challenge. get the status you want with no more than 40% of the flight mileage necessary within a 3 month window.

check the aa board for details.

Definitely rise to the challenge. Call American and ask for the Platinum Challenge. I believe you will have to fly 16k miles within a 3 month period. Do this early to qualify for next year and they will grant you Platinum the rest of this year- a 2 in 1 package deal. Good luck and happy flying!
