NJDavid - The thread title thing is terribly minor, agreed. You did make me cringe though!

I can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading here! NJDavid has been a long standing contributor to FlyerTalk...and yet relative newcomers are blasting him! And cigarman has been one of the most prolific and enlightening posters here! Yet people are telling these guys to leave??? Sorry, but I want them to stay...bigtime!!!

What is happening??? I know David is angry! He has a right to be angry!!! And so are a lot of people!!! CO changed their OP rules at the end of the year, after everyone has spent major $$$ on this airline for perceived benefits, that have suddenly been withdrawn!

It seems this thread just proves what NJDavid said in another thread...all too many Plats are taking an attitude of, "I'm still getting my upgrades, so what are you complaining about???"

Well, there are a lot more Silvers and Golds than Plats. Given, per capita, Plats give more busines to CO. But, what happens when you compare all business from Golds and Silvers vs. all Plats? I would bet that the Golds and Silvers give far more business to CO than all Plats combined, simply because of the sheer weight of their numbers!

And, what do you think will happen to CO if 100,000+ Golds and Silvers leave CO? How do you think that will impact your future upgrades?

OK, folks. dgolds takes the JAWs title of being the Rodney Dangerfield of CO. Great News! JAWs thought he had that title, but it was just a thought.

This thread is a very informative thread, especially when the "flamers" are cut. NJDavid brings reality to the scene. Like it or not. Maybe some people yell and scream at agents when a flight is delayed or cancelled. However, that's reality and all the yelling and screaming in the world is not going to change the delay or the cancellation. My point is that CO personnel read these threads and maybe, just maybe, these CO people will see something constructive here. What's really debilitating is to see someone complain and personally attack a poster that has provided valuable information.

Maybe someday those that choose to personally attack another will "GROW UP" and face REALITY. This board is not for personal attacks. If one doesn't have something to say about the thread topic, then why waste your time in personally attacking someone?

So, thanks NJDavid, for providing some valuable information.

It's not a matter of "growing up"..or "facing reality" for that matter...providing valuable information is one thing....constant whining and complaining about it is another!!!
