Is that part of the program rules, and I just missed it? Please refer me.
Or is there some sort of de facto policy that you have in mind?

For all of you who replied to my post. 1) I am TLV based
2) I fly into the states 8+ times a yr. 3) I was thrilled to learn last winter that CO was coming since EWR is a 10 min drive from my NY base 4)I've been PLATINUM with TWA for the past few yrs and haven't been able to RID myself of them till now. 5) yes I miss PN very much DL took over the TLV route but dropped it in '95.( they said you can get there with us and swiss but from TLV to ZUR no tier miles or bonus miles and 100,000 for a free coach since it was with a partner the same deal with AA/BA) I only learnt recently that DL & SR rules changed in regards to tier & bonus miles,my luck they spilt-up. AA/BA also changed recently to allow bonus and tier miles. 6) I had written a number of letters to CO in Houston and received a couple of calls and discussed the upcoming 8/99 start of service to TLV with a couple of VP's. The only item that kept me from going to CO was as I wrote their ridiculous mileage levels for awards to TLV they were adapted from the NW/KLM levels and were high since NW itself didn't fly in.
I've gone to DL/AF although I'd prefer the AA/BA but the AA flight times from NY aren't good for me. 7) I feel some of you maybe misjudged me,after all I've all over the place that one must choose a prog that will give you the best prog bet where you fly between. And there's no question that CO's awards to TLV got to be the worst out there!!!
CO757; name 1 airline whose awards to TLV is worse than CO's.Believe me I've checked them all out I don't of one(I constantly get calls both from travel-agents here as well as from the US wanting to know who I fly and why as well as where each airline stands. I promise you if CO only became competitive in the market(need not beat everyone)I would switch in a moment but I don't see it happening! As I posted I'd be NUTS to fly CO where 80,000 gets me an off-peak coach when BA or BA/AA gets one a free BUSINESS for 80,000 or 2!! yes 2 off-peak coach tkts to TLV. Yet I chose DL/AF since upgrading is more important to me but I feel that for '01 I'll be with AMR. I'm out of here on 2/1 and will know how the DL/AF deal only then.I'll be in the states for a month and I'd be willing to speak to any CO execs too bad I wasn't at the Freddies. Is miles everything??? you bet ya!!CO757 given what I've said you yourself would also probably not fly CO if you were in my shoes.

Jeff:
I've never seen it in writing, but everytime I've booked an award ticket I've asked and everytime I've been told that you can upgrade at the airport on a space-available basis.
Also, I've been upgraded 100% of the time with said upgrades.
