have a co.com gift voucher- can i use to purchase star alliance?
So i've got a GC for 450USD on co.com and i'd like to use it for a one way fare to asia. The price on UA/CO is around 750usd, whereas Air china has it for 550- is there any way to apply this GC to Air china (star alliance member) if the fare doesn't show up on either Co/UA's website?

need to read the T&Cs but almost for sure need to be used with UA/CO to purchase (and not directly with another airline)
-- a potential approach is to use a gift card exchange and get cash to make a purchase (plasticjungle offers 82% for UA card, did not see CO GC listed -so you will need to contact them)
