Mumbai and Delhi Upgrade Success Rates?
Title says most of it, sorry if it's been answered but I searched 15 min and couldn't find anything.
Trip is still three months off, and I'll be a "Premier 1K" on a B fare...wondering my chances in advance with a SWU...excuse me "GPU" or miles. Of course seat maps are empty for now.
Fare is same....and I'll be flying right out either way...so would prefer EWR-BOM since it's more miles, but if one is usually easier to upgrade I'll take that!

Well, it doesn't really answer the question directly, but you probably could have at least asked it in this thread from, um, yesterday.

Wow - meOW! I admit I totally missed that in the search function!
Doesn't really address if people on B fares are clearing, however.

Not cleared yet.
I must say that I have flown EWR-BOM/DEL a few times ..and always cleared the upgrade request (only once on a B-fare). Never missed it.
However, I cleared sometime in the week prior to departure.

Yeah - mine is a Friday flight, and both of tonight's flights are completely full up front - not an encouraging sign. I'm hoping this is because they already cleared some folks in advance....BOM is nearly 1,000 extra EQM on a B fare, so will likely go that route since price is same.

I fly DEL-EWR once a month. I try to get W fare. My success rate for 2011 is 9/9. I must warn they always cleared at the gate for me.
I was told by CO mgmt guy in DEL that these two IND flights generates the highest last minute/walk up purchases of C. Hence CO does not clear upgrades in advance. Walk up fare OW is $5k+.
