Automatically Checked-In?
I have a flight on Friday on CO, CO ticket. When I looked at it today within the 24 hour window, CO.com says I am already checked in.
I didn't do it and didn't pay for Early Bird Check-In
How can this happen? Is there a new feature somewhere that is doing it? (The outbound on Monday was not automatically checked in.)
Thanks.

When you checked in on the outbound, if you used OLCI you would have been asked if you wanted to be automatically checked in for your return leg. It's at the very end of the OLCI process and I believe it defaults to "yes". Not that new - been there a couple of years maybe?

I didn't OLCI on the outbound - used the CO check-in kiosk. This was Sunday so I guess the machine would not try to do the return, right? (The return segments were not listed.)
I would rather stay in my nice Y seat than some randomly assigned last minute F seat. So, I wanted to be low on the upgrade list.
Thanks.

I'm not aware of the kiosk offering the auto return check-in but maybe it was added recently?

There is an option when you check in to check the rest of your trip automatically. you have to select it in order of it to do it.

I prefer an exit aisle in Y over a window in F for longer domestic flights. I also turn down cool rental car upgrades. Call me strange
