Baggage Fee on Split Ticket

I recently booked award flights for myself and Mrs bj2757. On the return leg of the trip I had to use 25,000 miles for a split flight - the first part is in first class, the second flight is coach. Will I be able to check bags free on the return flight because of the F segment? Thanks.

Is the first segment (A-B) in F and the second (B-C) in Y of a trip where you'll check the bags in at A and collect them at C or are you collecting them at B? With CO it makes a difference (at least it used to).

They will be checked in at A and collected at C. The A-B segment is in first class.

You're in the clear. Even if B-C was in F and A-B was not you would get the F allowance for that entire portion of the trip.
