United and Continental Price Differences (same plane)
I'm a novice to this board, but have tried to search for this issue but have been unsuccessful.
I'm a CO elite and have been for many years.
I just attempted to book SAT/MSY tickets, for April and for June. For April, booking thru United was $80 per ticket cheaper even though it is CO metal. For the June trip, $160 difference.
Friends have told me of same on international business class (e.g., $2800 through United, $6000+ on Continental, same plane).
Is this common, are there any good explanations, and remedies other than just book through United (this is more time consuming because of my status with CO). Thanks.

You get status matched...nodifference buy the cheaper ticket....read sticky to match status on united.
