The BD code has to map to something on CO. I cannot imagine it mapping to a non-earning bucket as I don't know of any revenue buckets that CO has that are not earning, but it is something to be aware of.

it even has a CO confirmation code (i find that a little odd) and doesn't mention bmi anywhere on it. it really looks as if i booked it straight through continental. even when i requested a receipt it's all CO and doesn't mention bmi anywhere.
...maybe it'll accidentally throw another 5 bucks into my co club account too.

ah good to know. i think this particular one mapped up fine as it showed up on my co.com account page and is listed as L.

It is also worth noting that the L->L mapping is based on the new BD codes that take effect April 1 to align with the Lufty codes. Today BD L is actually a rather high fare class.

I saw this behavior frequently after the DL/NW merger. Flights on nwa.com (DL or NW metal) were often hundreds less than the very same flights on dl.com.

IAD-BOS on UA metal. Price on continental.com was $190, price on United.com was $470. Bizarre. You could get a DCA-BOS ticket on United.com for $190 but it was USAir metal.
