Question upgrade chances question

I'm flying from SEA to NYC in March. I have 2 options: Non-stop SEA-EWR or SEA-IAH-LGA. I have no experience whatsoever on this route. Which option gives me better chance to get upgrade as an UA 1P?

Thanks!

Depends on day of the week and time, but SEA-EWR can be very hard at times and I've always been upgraded days in advance for IAH-LGA. Not sure about SEA-IAH

In my experience, SEA-IAH and vv is easier but that is of course relative and time/day dependent. The changes to upgrade-at-purchase fares should improve EUA chances on both routes, though.

I went 3/4 SEA-EWR in Nov/Dec with 2 red-eyes, and I'm 4/4 SEA-IAH this year (no red-eyes), all at T-5.
