Today is usually considered the busiest travel day for the airlines. Not sure what per cent higher then average passengers are flying but one question for CO and other airlines. For CO, I do not see alot of additional flights added to be able to handle the passenger volume. Anyone aware on what routes capacity is added with extra flight or using larger aircraft. I guess you could add late night flights for aircraft that usually terminate early evening and add a red eye for aircraft repositioning. Most airlines do not have alot of extra planes sitting around, have some for backup for planes in maintenance or to handle daily problems for aircraft that have to be taken out of service.
