System wide upgrades

System wide upgrades
As a million miler, my wife shares my status. I have just exceed 100K elite miles. Will my wife also get 4 system wide upgrades?

If you are 1 million miler, your wife will be silver status. (but if you are doing companion upgrades on domestic flights, she will be your plat-companion..so higher status than Silver)
Share status or not, SWU's are awarded to only folks who fly 100k miles AFAIK.

This is not correct, if you are a million miler AND platinum, your wife will also be platinum (assuming she is properly listed in COs system as being your wife). As for SWUs, no she won't get any unless she also flies 100k.

Not quite true, if he has 100K miles in the bank this year, his wife is a Plat.

Ah i see. This statement is somewhat misleading on co.com.
It does say someone you nominate will "share the same status as you".
But, for 1 million-miler, it says "you will never fall below silver".
So, i confused the two things.

She is of course already platinum because I am. Just wondered whether she would get the system wide upgrades....
