No need to collect luggage - we don't subject people to that in Europe provided you're on one ticket and/or CO has checked the bags through to AGP.

Should be no issue with heading into the city, you'll have enough time as long as your inbound flight is on time.

Great; looking forward to getting out of the airport for an hour or two. Do you think hopping a taxi back from the city at noon, and being back at the airport for roughly 12:30 is good for the 2:05 flight? It will be on a Saturday if that matters at all.

Yes, plenty. Should even give you enough time to stop by the lounge if you're *G or in C

Another quick question. If I'm taking a taxi to the city center, what should i tell the taxi driver as a landmark? I don't want to get ripped off . I've been there before and I know the city center is not that large, but want to be able to give an 'address' to the driver so I'm at the beginning of the 'main drag' I know the barrio alta is up the hill to the right as you are heading to the center, but want to be dropped off so we can stroll a bit and find a quick bite to eat. thanks!

Tell him Rossio. That's smack in the center. If you're worried about getting ripped off, you can purchase a prepaid taxi voucher at the tourist desk right before you exit the arrivals area. It's 15-20€, I don't remember the exact price, but it's around what you'd pay on a non-fixed rate anyway. And while you're there get a free map there as well.

As far as not getting ripped off, make sure they turn on tariff 1 (it'll show on the meter as "Tarifa 1"), the starting price will either be 2,00€ or 2,50€.

You should have plenty of time to get out and see some of Lisbon. I remember sitting in the TAP lounge across from a very haggard-looking American couple who were spending six hours in the lounge waiting for their connecting flight; it never occurred to them to see about going into town. Conversely, the Swiss couple who occupied their chairs when they left raved about the meal and shopping they enjoyed on their four-hour layover.
