FF miles credited to wrong program

I just recently flew from MUC-FRA on LH, followed by a FRA-ORD flight on UA - I originally had my UA Mileage Plus number on those flights from when I booked it long ago, but changed both flights to my CO OnePass number when I checked in at Munich (the CO *G status shows on both boarding passes).

However, I checked today and it looks like while the MUC-FRA flight did get credited to my OP account, the FRA-ORD flight got credited to my MP account. Is there any way to switch the crediting of that second flight from Mileage Plus to OnePass? I thought that since both boarding passes showed CO *G, I would have been all set.

Some folks here have been able to call UA and "undo" the mileage credit; and then call CO and get it credited there. Its going to take a lot of work though on your part.

I had this happen with CO and NW a few years ago. Call them and/or write them and they should be able to remove the miles from the account you don't want. Then you can recredit them to the one you want.

Thanks for all the help! Glad to see that it's not impossible.

I'm having this very issue right now with a trip to Europe, except Lufthansa credited it all to a Miles & More number they have on my account, even though I put my OnePass number online into my booking code.

I have to fight with M&M to have them remove the miles. Anyone have experience doing this with them?

This happens to me all the time flying with LH. Although my boarding pass is clearly CO One Pass, LH will credit the miles to Miles and More. I will then e-mail Miles and More and request that the miles be redirected to CO One Pass. In about five days the miles will appear in my One Pass account. LH does not remove the miles from the Miles and More account. So I get miles credited to both accounts. To avoid this in the future, I will not sign in with LH when I make reservations. Then there is no reference to my Miles and More account number.

I was told they do not transfer to other accounts, even though that's not what I requested. I simply wanted them to release the miles, so that way I could tell Continental to credit them. They wrote me a letter saying they don't transfer miles, and of course now I'm frustrated.

So I wrote another letter and we'll see what happens. But I'll try an email approach as well.

I'm getting the same response from them: they don't transfer miles between programs.

I sent a letter asking them to just remove or release the miles, and they are telling me they don't do that.

I'm at a loss here and need help. Does anyone know how I can get these miles removed from M&M? I need these as EQM to make back Plat on CO this year.
