Need help getting compensation on US Airways Codeshare

Hi everyone,

I have contacted Continental Airlines, US Airways, and Royal Jordanian on several occasions (10 and counting) to try to get my miles awarded. My issue is that I booked a flight to Amman, Jordan on July 31, 2010 through US Airways, who appeared to offer to a direct. But since the flight was actually operated on Royal Jordanian metal, nobody wants to give me the miles. I booked it with my Continental OnePass number on the US Airways site. Apparently, RJ is part of One World so neither Continental nor US Airways will give me the miles because they didn't operate the plane but RJ won't give me the miles because I did not book through them. I should have been notified when i booked the flight that it would be ineligible for miles. What's even worse is that I spoke to a US Airways agent BEFORE i booked my flight to make sure that there would be no issue with the codeshare. I was told that people on Flyer Talk would be able to help me figure out how to go about getting compensation for my flight. I'm really frustrated and don't know what else to do.

Bearer of bad news

Sorry, think you are out of luck. You accrue OP miles on on US Airways operated flights, as described here. Credit for codeshares is at the discretion of the operating carrier, and I really doubt that a carrier which is not even part of *A will spring for it. You could try to argue with US but unless you have a recording of the agent telling you that you would get credit it is very unlikely to go in your favor

Try Dividend Miles

Hopefully you have a DM account - you can get credit based on fare code.

From US site:

To receive credit, present your Dividend Miles number when you make reservations or check in for your flight.

Dividend Miles members traveling on Royal Jordanian Airlines will accrue based on the actual miles flown.
All non-listed fare classes do not accrue mileage. Please save your boarding pass, it may be required to receive flight credit.
Class of service Fare class Accrual rate
Business class C, D, J 150%
Economy class B, H, K, M, S, V, Y 100%

Good luck.

So if she has a DM number and can get DM miles, can she transfer them to CO?
