Baggage and fee question
I don't post too often here so be easy on me. I'm flying CO from EWR to BOS, conecting to AF for BOS to CDG and continuing on AF to GVA.
Question- When checking my bags with Continental in Newark will I be able to route them straight to GVA?
Also, will I have to pay the baggage fee on Continental in Newark or is there an exception to this when connecting to an international flight which charges no fees? I will be flying in the back of the bus throughout and have no status. I was originally ticketed through Continental for these flights using points when AF was in the same alliance.
Thanks!

Yes, the bags can be tagged all the way through.
If you are on a single ticket - and it sounds like you are - then you'll get the TATL allowance which is 1x50# bag for free.

Do I check in at Continental's domestic or international counter?

International, I presume. They'll want to confirm your passport in EWR before they give you boarding passes.
