Help with upgrade
Have tickets for flight IAH to ANC (flight 407) on May 26. I was offered upgrade using points and cash and am waitlisted for this flight. How can I tell if we're likely to get this upgrade? Thanks.

You cannot tell if it is "likely" with any appreciable accuracy.
If it doesn't clear it will be because others actually paid for the seats up front, not because of some great conspiracy.

If you're on the waitlist, the upgrade will go through if/when they open up the inventory. There's really no predicting when that could happen (or what your odds are).

If it doesn't open up before 24 hours prior to flight, you should then be placed on the upgrade standby list.

IME, the mileage upgrade has failed to clear and EUA filled up the F cabin.
