status match?
I bet this has been asked many times and I apologize for asking again. I looked at the OnePass FAQ, but I did not see the process/"how to" of getting this done:
The question is this: I am currently with DL --ex NWA, but thinking about jumping ship. A bit hard as DTW would be the hub and it's essentially controlled by DL, but for my TATL business flights etc: two upcoming TPAC flights in one in April and one in May. CO seems to have the best programs --the Quantas link is important (as regards upgrades on domestic flights and award travel that is reasonable, CO seems better to me as well).
How does one go about asking for a status match? I just re-qualified (3 years in a row) Gold --not a *huge* business flier about 65 EQM per year. Is CO open to this kind of thing, for on the DL site lots of folks seem to be moving---is this just rumor or is it possible to do, i.e. does someone that does about 65K per year actually get matched or is the the heavy road warriors that help me out all the time on FT that get consideration
?

There is a good thread on this in the DL forum

It looks like CO is making this very easy for DL folks...

The Qantas link goes away in a couple days. Don't bank on that.
As for status matches, I will try to remember to add a link to the FAQ but the most up-to-date information on that topic across all the programs is found in this thread in the MilesBuzz forum: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...er-thread.html.

just did the reverse
i just did the reverse last week: one for my spousal equivalent who is a co silver and for me as a co gold. i emailed the delta status match email a screen grab of our co elite cards from the page where you can print a temporary card and in less than 24 hours he was silver and i was gold on delta.
