Goodbye SkyTeam
It's been a good time; little remorse though now that the NWA relationship is kaput. Just nee to get used to the idea of occasionally flying (gasp) UA or (double-gasp) US.
Didn't gasp before when I thought about flying NWA.

I'll miss KLM's maidens, to be sure. But the Scandinavians and SQ Girls more than make up for it.

With the exception of one crew on one flight, I haven't had issues with UA at all this year. That's with just over three dozen flights on them. Their service levels have improved over what I saw in 2007-early 2008 in all areas.

I'll echo ssullivan's sentiment and say that UA has improved - no real big in-flight issues with them this year, and I'd say better than NW service.
Did have one CSR at ORD bark at me earlier this year about refusing to put me on the upgrade list when I was on a full Y ticket (and entitled to a free upgrade) - got 10k miles from UA for that incident (works for me considering it was a 45 minute flight to MSP and I was in an exit row).

I will be making my farewell at about the last possible domestic-US minute.
My flight (CO 209) is scheduled to arrive in PDX at 11:59 pm tonight.

UA did surprise me in F this past Monday. I was served a cold plate on IAD-ORD, a fairly short flight. I was actually shocked when the FA offered it. That's the shortest domestic "meal" flight I've had in many, many years, if not ever.

CO767 SEA-IAH departs 1159 PM tonight. Is this the last CO/SkyTeam flight?

Well, we can toast the exit from the "old team." Remember there's two days of "limbo" where CO is not officially in any alliance!
