I just tried it again and it's working fine. Enter this into multi-city:

IAD-RIC 12PM
RIC-SFO 2PM
SFO-JFK 10PM
JFK-IAD 9AM (next day)

That should give you all the connections and allow you to book it online. Let me know if you're still having problems.

Keep trying. Don't search RIC-ORD, ORD-SFO, just search for RIC-SFO.

EDIT: I see I responded too late!

Can I just point out for the record how jacked up it is that one has to jump through all these ridiculous hoops to book what you want?

Can I just point out how crazy it is that we'd actually want to make five connections when we could just go nonstop (or in this case stay home)?

I agree with you, though.

Hmmmm..... I can't imagine six people booked since last night. Is someone holding more than one itin involving this flight? I wouldn't be surprised to see more L at midnight tomorrow when holds expire, or otherwise I'm sure IM will eventually release some more L.

Well put! ^

Just wanted to give you another shout-out for putting this together this mass MR/DO. ^ If the weather and UA cooperate, this will be a bunch of good rides!

I'm in BAYBEEEEE!!

Yeah! I got it... since I already have a rental car out from IAD and I needed to visit my Grandmom in NJ that weekend, I wanted to avoid getting a one way rental. So, I booked JFK-IAD-RIC-ORD-SFO-JFK for $250! I made sure I left about 1.5 hrs in IAD to make the RIC flight as we know how JFK-IAD can be! :S The only killer is I have to drive from Baltimore up to JFK for a 9:30a flight there!

Once I get back to JFK the next AM, go see my grandmother and head back to Baltimore Sun night to start the next week. Should be a killer weekend!

This is my first Mileage Run too!! I get to lose my virginity!! haha...

So put me down Lucky for the full party route! I upgraded everything with ORD-SFO clearing. Im in 2J.
Edit>> oops... I see no Explus so I see why CR-1 is a waste... well, vs. 4 e500s... should I switch it? Looks like plenty of space to clear...

I used e500s for the P.S. flight... is that a bad idea to clear (and 6 of em to boot)? Im not even really keen on upgrading redeyes since I just sleep but the only window is in the last row!! eek. I could wait until some of you upgraders clear out and then maybe move in to your E+ seat? Its not like I am going to be awake to party during the flight anyway...

Awesome Lee, I'm happy you'll be joining us!^ I'll update your status on the list.

Just a reminder that we're seated in rows 11-15ish on the IAD-RIC-ORD flights, so I would suggest selecting seats around there. Also, for ORD-SFO we're seated towards the rear of the cabin, so if you can (or want to, in this case) select a seat in rows 4-6.

You should be good with 500'ers on SFO-JFK, IMO. I'm sure plenty of seats will clear up in coach as upgrades clear as well.

Update: Based on your update, I would suggest using 500'ers for ORD-SFO and instead applying the CR1 to SFO-JFK, which would cost six 500'ers (vs. four).

Awesome, Pat+!

Yep, you're sitting next to an FT'er. The tour should start around 4PM.

OK, the SFO-JFK redeye flight is now L0. Who's not being upfront and telling us they at least have a reservation on hold?

BTW, don't forget to order your special meals for the redeye!
