I'm Still here with what must be one of the lowest post count of 543, which is about 37 posts a year!

If you're gonna be impotent, you gotta look impotent.

I'm still here. FlyerTalk has been an interesting journey.

As of next year I will only have been here 9 years ... quite a youngster :)

I was close to being an original member. There was some kind of glitch early on and I was lost in the system. I re-registered so I could message tech support. He was able to find me, but I ended up keeping my second handle.

True. But I don't remember being particularly original at the time I started my project. This forum seemed quite active and quite comprehensive then. So I assumed it had been around for awhile.

Today these kids just cut each other off very rudely. Somebody needs to teach them some respect.

Boy- things sure were better in the good old days:cool:

I strongly disagree. When I first starting participating in this forum (May 5, 98) people were quite rude, so much so that I stopped posting for quite awhile, posting on FrequentFlier Forum instead. But then things got quite rude there about the same time as (thankfully) the mods on Flyertalk took serious action to quell the hostility here. Thanks, mods.

Coming up on 15 years here...wow. I don't post nearly as often as I once did but I am still on FT every day as the moderator of the Hotel Deals forum.

Actually, Randy's frequent flyer discussion board and forum was around way before 1998. It was in May 1998 that he moved over to the software we now use and everyone had to start anew.

I believe I was an active member of the original Flyertalk (it was called something else) bulletin board as early as 1995. Back in those days, the discussion was strictly about ways to earn and burn miles and once you posted a question, you would wait a week or more for someone else to reply.

While not quite on the 'original' list, I'm still around :D

Original Member #410 here. Can't believe it's coming up on 15 years as a member and then 12 years as a mod (July 20th). The siggy kinda says it all, doesn't it? :D

How did people hear about FlyerTalk in the beginning back in 1998? And how did I not know about FT sooner than Dec 11? I found airliners.net back in the mid 2000s, never heard of FT .
