  • Catman

  • Sagy
  • alhcfp
  • AusTXHiker
  • baobab
  • BlondeBomber
  • burkey
  • Craig6z
  • DivMiler
  • DJlawman
  • number_6
  • Old Gold

and then I got tired of looking.

It always makes me feel good when I see an original member post. The board has changed dramatically as it has grown so large. It's not the cozy small place where everyone knew everyone, at least by handle. They have adapted and continue to add value.

Original Member as a title and Original Member as a fact are two different things. Some of us have been around since the first few of us gathered for a BB experience that was all Text.

500+ is way more than there were of Original members.

I've been here off and on over the years - I'm more of a lurker than a poster though. Thinking about participating more...

And back then, "'round these parts" was only worth about 75% of a "real member" :p but now is worth anywhere between 99% and 101%. :D

Much thanks FLYERTALK

Wonderer-- here. Joined May 5 of 1998. What memories!!!! Wow, so very, very much to be thankful for!!!!!

I remember first being aware of miles when I filled out a card on a Northwest flight for their miles program. Went many years just collecting a few NW points. Any reward was always coach with terrible connections.

The following is bragging, but would not even be dreamed about without Flyertalk. ---------

This last year was a big year. All the following was free.

Sister and I --- 2 week vacation to Yellowstone. Flew GRR to Bozeman, first class, free 14 day car rental, free 14 days of motels.

Husband and I --- from GRR to ANC first class
Trip from ANC to Homer Ak (puddle-jumper)(visit family during Christmas) .

Husband and I ---GRR to CRP first class
2 month free car rental (Capitol One)
$600 rebate for gas and meals (Capitol One)

Next year, Have paid for reward tickets, but not traveled yet---
Husband and I --GRR to CRP first class

My husband, my sister and I -- GRR to ANC first class
2 week car rental free.

Plus have over 900,000 point/miles leftover.

I can hardly believe all this has been possible. So very, very, much to be thankful for Flyertalk

Click your name and in your profile hover over the link to send yourself a private message. The end of the link will have u=nnn, where nnn is your member number. You are number 777, BTW.
