Wow. Was May 5, 1998 the first day that registration for FT was allowed?

I am very much interested to read about how the FT started in 1998! Any link?

the very first poster(s) is Randy, who, to start and promote FlyerTalk posted not only under his original aka, but used other aka(s?) to ask questions that he answered later.

and it worked to get us ('Original members) on board.

a computer 'glitch' later did delete the joining number of FlyerTalkers, including those that joined in may 1998, and they had to put them in again and this was done in alphabetical order (that's why Randy himself has not membership#1.).

Many of these early (May-1998) then got the 'original member' status, but doing so FT missed some, see here Randy posting about this

Alphabetical? By username with numbers before A? Or is 3544quebec really named something like aardvark?

Rudi covered the "Original Members", and additional information on the early days of FT can be found here.

OMG- they are talking about us like we are in the old folks home on a rocking chair, and they come by every so often to put a mirror in front of our mouth to make sure we still breathin:-:

------------------------------------------------

Hey you old folks- Remember back in the good ol days when people only posted impotent stuff here and we showed respect for one another?

Today these kids just cut each other off very rudely. Somebody needs to teach them some respect.

Boy- things sure were better in the good old days:cool:

Original Member JIMBOLIGUY posted in the AA thread on doing number two in the AC (toilet paper complaint).

There are a surprising number of posts by Original Members that you find once you start looking for those words under the username.
