I would hope it is DOM 1994 if not at least 2000. Will settle for Krug as well.
Caviar would go well with DOM. Afterall it is the inaugural flight as you noted to Paris. Caviar ^^ Though, it's not particularly PC to serve Caspian Sea Caviar; of course, I've never been particularly PC. ;) But, I have been impressed by some of the new farmed (domestic US) varieties, especially from Sterling Caviar -- yum! ^ |

Montparnesse has no lounge. Etoile has a great lounge. The breakfast & evening spread are worth more than the extra 2K SPG points.

I'm more of a Cristal kinda guy. ;) How 'bout Louis Roederer Cristal (1993).

Nothing beats 35000ft with a glass of Dom and Caviar listening to my favourite artist. |

Lucky, I've just made up my mind and booked a great Single Hilton Guestroom with "LARGE DESK, MODEM, WINDOWS THAT OPEN" at Hilton Paris, or is it Paris Hilton? My second night I'll stay at Orly, but not with Hilton since I've drained my account with the Scandic point transfer. I'll probably stay at the HI Orly, but haven't booked it yet.

Looks very good! yyzprincess has suggested (via PM) that we have dinner here on Friday. We agree an early dinner would be best, since we'll likely all be tired pretty early the first night due to jetlag. Does anyone object to this place?:)

Venue sounds great ^; though, I'll be a maybe as I'm not very much of an early dinner person.
BTW, I'll send an email to Randy just to alert him of what we're planning and see if he maybe wants to join us. I know he's a busy guy, so he probably hasn't had the opportunity to check out this thread yet. |

Ouch, don't remind me please, I'm using my last SPG points and did not have enough for Etoile :(

I ate there several years ago and it was mediocre, but at least the menu offered many choices and the place is classically Paris. The simple restaurant below on the Left Bank was a lot better, but only offered salad and steak frites so it might not satisfy everyone. Maybe a local like Stimpy can guide us.

By early dinner we're talking around 7PM. Is that too early?
Looks like the dress is casual chic (from one of the links listed above). |

I do 2 days trip accross the pond on regular bases, first night I am in bed by 9:00PM. |
I'd prefer for very early for rather late, because I was thinking of trying to see the Louvre on Friday night as it's open until 10 and free for <26 (and discounted for others) after 6 so I'd probably be a maybe at any normal dinner time.

Trust me, by 9:00PM you will be ready to crawl into bed, especially if you plan to party on the flight into Paris.
I do 2 days trip accross the pond on regular bases, first night I am in bed by 9:00PM. My last short trip to Europe was a "1-day" trip. Departing on Friday and returning on Sunday. Luckily, I was able to upgrade to WBC (on NW); and even managed to have the same flight crew both ways (DTW-LGW AND LGW-DTW). Of course, I don't discount the possibility of a power nap around 4PM on Friday; since I really would like to be out late on Friday (and Saturday) night. But, a lot will have to do with how hell'ish this week turns out to be. ;) Edit to add : If I'm in bed by 9PM, I'll be wandering the streets of Paris at 4AM -- LOL -- |
