Congratulations to all the winners! And congratulations to Randy celebrating 10 years of FT!

Winners, please start a thread to let us know how the flight is, what you do, and the wonderful times you have together.

Great gift, Randy, and a nice way to treat the FT community, although it seems we should be the ones treating you.

Wirelessly posted (FlyerTalk.com/wap is fun : BlackBerry8330/4.3.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Even though I did not win, I still think this is a great start to celebrating 10 years. congratulations to the winners! Is there still a possibility of a proper 10th anniversary DO or is this all we will see aka aka do you have something else up your sleeve like a ride on a NWA 747??

Were the winners chosen completely randomly or was there some other criteria?

Probably some combination. OP used "selected" in original post, not (chosen) (like out of a hat) Lucky posted he was selected on his blog on jun10 so some were selected and some were chosen. either way, I think its GREAT that Randy is so generous when these things come his way ^

Just to clarify, Randy did a separate thing for BoardingArea.com (his site), so I'm not taking one of the 20 spots. As far as I can tell (at least based on those that have RSVP'ed) it looks pretty random to me!

Thanks for the clarification Ben, so that looks like there's still 8 left not RSVPed yet (fingers crossed) are the 12 all from the chosen pool?

I'm choosing to go with Lucky's attitude regarding those who have been chosen who end up not able to go - until there are 20 names (or more) on his planning thread, there's still a chance for the rest of us to be chosen as alternates. Ever optimistic! I'm not giving up my hotel room yet...

This is truly an awesome offer, and even though my name wasn't picked, I hope it will be a great trip for those who do make it - and maybe it will entice other companies to offer something similar. Like I said above, ever optimistic.

I'm sure that would also like to know who the lucky people are. ^
Ditto! I am sure my notification must have gotten bounced back for some reason.

Why can't this question be answered by FlyerTalk administration?

If by FlyerTalk administration you mean Randy, I think you need to be a bit patient. Randy is a very busy guy, but I'm sure he'll provide some feedback when he gets a chance. Looking at the list of people going, it really seems pretty random to me...
