Okay. So far the best I can do is, slave myself to regular coach, not even Exit row available
. Will be arriving ANC at 12:05am March 14 on DL and leaving 9:30pm March 16 on NW. Pretty pricey, so need to break my piggy bank.
Looks like I will be staying at the Courtyard ANC Airport Mar 13 and the Fairfield Fairbanks the other 2 nights.
Will confirm Friday if I ticket this.

Okay guys and gals. I'm officially in. Thanks to NWA and DL for letting me transfer miles between them, I redeemed an award. Will arrive 12:02am March 14. See you all there. I will probably stay either at the Courtyard by the Airport or the Hilton Downtown. Where is everyone else staying at?

Ready, set, GO
Hotels booked, flight booked, train tickets bought, wine cellar seriously overstocked.....
Anyone know what the policy is for bringing you own wine on the train?

OK, my friend, who is a conductor, surprisingly didn't know the policy (despite being the one to enforce it!
).
I'll delegate calling Passenger Services at 907-265-2494 to BOB W, since they're closed now and it's his wine...
(Bob, make sure to specifically mention that you'll be on the winter train. You don't want to have to check it, as the bag car is not heated.)

Well, we'll look forward to positive news from you down the line! Good luck on the job front. At least there remains some very good jobs here--so far, I'm barely aware there is even a recession going on in that foreign country known as "Outside"...

Oh damm. I'll be transitting FAI for a day between KWI and SYD on the 17th. One day late.
The smart ones may well ask how does one go through FAI between KWI and SYD - than answer is in a OW xGLOB34 fare!
Hope the train trip is fun!

Do you pass through ANC at all? What's your route? If you have even a short layover in ANC on your way to FAI (if you found something directly to FAI, I'm surprised--do post details!), we can meet at the airport for a quick hi.
Safe travels!
