With only two Canadian FTers I could spot on that list I would think it not entirely representative of the exact percentage of non-USA members as I'm quite sure there are more than two of us on FT who for whatever reason didn't post to that thread.

I'd say there are far more non-Americans that you would imagine.
It's just that we like to hold our counsel until we have something interesting to say !

I agree that some of us are far away and only look, but seldom post here! You got a post earlier in the thread from FlyingOnceMore and he lives about 20 miles from me. We met earlier this year in a small FT meet of the BMI FF's in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

I agree it is not a definitive answer by any stretch. Only a miniscule % of FTers have posted in the where we all live thread (although probably a decent % of active FTers). Is it representative? Likely not. But better than a totally unsubstantiated guess IMO.

You could also edit your profile to list a location so others would know what kind of non-American you were.

Seems I wasn't the only one offering the same unsubstantiated guess at the 10% mark, just the first in this thread:

I would be very curious to know how many really active (with 1,000+ posts) non-USA members we have.

Off the top of my head, I can think of quite a few very valuable FlyerTalkers, some of whom have posted in this thread, who live in other counties. They have most certainly enriched my FlyerTalk experience.

Thank you all! ^
