hey lucky.. please confirm me for sat night. i'll have to let you know about sunday.. but sunday lunch sounds good. any place you want to go try out?

I live in the WLA area so if anyone needs a ride down to Manhattan Beach, and you if you're staying near the airport, I'd be happy to give you a ride.

Great ALCARLOS, see you there!^

xxdboixx, look forward to meeting you! I have you as confirmed for Saturday and would be up for basically anywhere not too expensive for lunch on Sunday that's not too tough to get to. Any ideas? Thanks for the offer for the ride too!

sounds good! looking forward to meeting you too! too bad its still a couple of months away.

I was just in TPA for work.. and I remembered seeing that you were from that area.

Will be in TPA again in April... I can say TPA is a nice airport.. very efficient and convenient... now only if UA can offer mainline service to TPA...

as far as lunch, I'm sure we can figure something out. If you want a quick bite, there's tons of places near Marina Del Rey, Venice, Santa Monica, or even Century City that is easy to get to and cheap.

Let me know when in April you'll be in Tampa and I'd love to love to meet up! All those locations sound good, so if you or anyone else have a specific location that's preferred, please let me know!

Petros is excellent, and we've had a few FT Dinner Dos there. It's May, the weather will be great, I'd sit on the outside patio if it were me.

I'm actually having dinner at Petros tonight w/ some non-FTers. :)

A few things:

* There is an underground city parking lot (entry from either Valley Drive or Morningside St.). You'll need quarters for the meters, but only for 1 hour as the meters end at 8pm. Go up the escalators & Petros is at your 11 o'clock position.

* What we've done in the past, when skye1 or sweetwillie have been in town, is order a bunch of appetizers for the group (which are excellent; yum, yum) & split the food bill evenly, and then break out the booze bill. If by chance Redhead joins you, she's got the figuring out everyone's portion including booze, tax, tip down to a science!

* Petros is VERY popular especially on the weekends, so at some point you should have a cut-off on # of people or post that those that might want to 'just show up' that there is a chance they won't be able to sit at the main table of 12 or eat at the same time. When skye1 was in town last Jan, 12 rsvp'd & we ended up w/ 20. Because the place was full, 4 ended up eating at the bar & 4 ended up eating at a table not near the group.

Have a great time! Cheers.

Mrs. CO FF & I can't make Saturday night (since we have to do a family farewell dinner before sending CO FF Jr. off on a 12-day overseas trip...on a group ticket, with no EQM:( ), but put us down for Sunday. It will be good to see you again...

Count me in for Sunday dinner too!

Looks like I'm out on Sunday, but still in +1 for Saturday.

I did notice that Saturday's venue mentions a DRESS CODE after 5pm.

Lucky - if this is your slumming dress-down weekend, you'd better bring some nice clothes in the oversized carry-on for dinner!

Then you can spill food on it and wear it for the flights back :)

I'm hoping my flight isn't late, as I'll have enough time to change and shave in the hotel, hopefully! As for the food spillage idea, I like it!:D

Guys, I think I've totally gone off the deep end here. I just realized I'm flying LAX-SFO-EWR on Sunday night and leave at 7:10PM, and we have a dinner reservation at 5:30PM...

Have I officially gone crazy? Either I can move the reservation up to around 4PM or so (I know, that's an awful time), or I'll just sit this dinner out. I wont be offended if it's the latter option (heck, it might make more sense), but please let me know what you guys prefer. I'm sorry for being D-U-M!

Since I have a flight at 10:25pm on Saturday night (May 3rd), 7pm Manhattan Beach is very doable for me... Would much rather meet FTers than hang out in our lovely RCC ;)

So mark me down for some Mous-kaka at Petros! :)

Why not show up at 5:30, have a drink & appetizers, and leave at 6ish. You don't need to hit security earlier than 6:40.

Or see if you can switch the LAX-SFO from the 7:10pm (UA 1172) to UA 1174 at 8pm. 1174 is a 752, and 1172 is an A320, so there's more capacity on the later flight. You'd still have 53 minutes to connect -- and if you misconnect, there's still a couple of east coast flights that leave later...
