Excellent! (He says with steepled fingers)
I'm going to make an East Bay DO 3 thread just in case anyone is looking for that title, and so I can keep the OP updated...
But since you will be around longer than just that evening, you should (of course) continue to make other plans here (e.g. dim sum brunch).
I'm sure there are lots of great places in the city, though I've never had dim sum there. If you're still in the East Bay, there's a place in Oakland's Chinatown called Jade Villa, it's quite good.
There is indeed, though this restaurant does not appear to have its own website.
Well, since Jason kindly agreed to join forces, we'll be holding EBDo3 on Feb 9... will you be gone? Your calendar shows nothing on that Saturday.
We certainly can. In fact, since I kinda live here, and you now do too, we can do this at any time.
But, if you're here on Feb 9, you can come eat Burmese curry in Oakland.
Bring your 'tude!

And you did put yourself down in the "Uhhhhh" list last time, and we never heard from you again...
You're just toying with our emotions, man!

There is a chance that I might not be able to even make it down at that time. For me to change my ticket, and the 2 nights and everything looks like it will fall way above my price budget
Its cheaper to buy a 1way to SFO from ORD that date than it is for me to change my ticket. The money it would cost would cover at least 3 nights down in NZI will have to see what the next few days (including when my car will get out here) will show. Really depends on when I have to go out and get the car

I think it's still wise to plan EBDo3 for Feb 9, though - that way, even if you can't make it (though we all hope you do!), the overall plans don't have to change much.

Keep us posted...

I thought your ticket was already purchased... I didn't realize it was a plan change, even though I now see that post #3 says it would be. That's unfortunate... but I'm hoping it will all work out!

Actually, lucky is trying really hard to tempt me in a MR during that time.

Just depends if I can sort all this out in the next few days.

In that vein, East Bay DO 3 is officially announced. I took the liberty of adding you and hsxagent to the "maybe" list in the meantime.
Everyone else, please head to that thread and RSVP. You're all invited! At least, until I get to know you better.

OK, my plans keep changing here, and now I'm really thinking about this. What time will dinner on Friday be? It looks like I may fly in at 7PM and leave again the next day at 6PM, although nothing is certain yet. Would you be up for lunch on Saturday maybe?
