Melbourne (AU) - Jan 2008
 

Hi folks - I know this is a LONG lead time, but I think it is warranted.

I will be umpiring at the Australian Open in Melbourne in January 2008 - dates are 14JAN08 to 27JAN08.

Anybody likely to be in MEL at this time, and looking to get together for an FT do?

Due to the nature of umpiring (and the vagaries of Melbourne weather) my availability will be at short notice, however I am able to advise the chief-of-umpires regarding a days unavailability quite easily, but it needs to be in advance.

So, anyone available at this time?

no other set plans.

I'm in MEL 26-28th, for Australia Day Long Weekend, thanks to the cheap fares on Tiger / JetStar.

Just wondered if anyone else is going to be there for the last week of this tournament. I've got my tix, got my stay at the Park Hyatt Melbourne (made with some trepidation given that I've never had a good experience at this hotel, but then, the booking is entirely for points), got my plane trip (thanks to that wonderful mistake fare). Tennis anyone?

Aha, I missed this thread when I started mine. Will be there for the last 5 days of the tournament (Jan 22 - 27), staying at PH Melb (on points of course).

On Saturday, Jan 26, there is only one day session for the women's finals, how about we try for a DO that evening?
