Thanks for this info; should be able to make 13 Jan at 18:00.
|
Enjoy - for me, weekday evenings only at this time.
|
Mr Falconea and I will try to make it along.
We're not drinkers and not fond of noisy places however so are more interested in dinner than drinks. What time are you likely to decide on a dinner venue and head off? We'll probably time ourselves accordingly. Audrey |
Hi, me+1 could make Jan 26 (not in Melb yet for the earlier one) if it starts after that day's session is over.
|
I'm flying in from Tasmania on the 13th and will try to make it.
|
Have had several pm's & emails with thadocta and others confirming they will be Chloes on Sunday evening. Weather should be cooler then. Been 100°F - 37°C today.

Cya all Sunday. Dave |
see you at 6pm
I was lucky yesterday (Saturday) watching swiss Baschinsky qualifying for the womens singles, and I was sitting under one of those rare umbrellas, protected from the sun. |
It was wonderful to meet everyone! Thanks to our friendly locals (and pseudo locals) for organising. Cheers!

Yes, a few drinks directly under Chloe's engaging yet mysterious gaze (yes I did look at her face!), followed by dinner over the river in Southbank.
Basically attended by those who said they would: thadocta (Sydney), Rudi (Switzerland), KRS (Norway - back off to balmy Scandinavia tonight), PHLbuddy (US - but no longer PHL) and the local contingent - myself, Mwenenzi (thanks for finishing touches to organisation), falconea and mr falconea. Always a pleasure (so far, anyway ) to catch up with FTers, have a bit of a yarn and put faces to handles. |

Yep, it was nice to meet everyone :)
... had a good day at the tennis today (Rod Laver morning), now in the Qantas F lounge waiting for the first flight to take me back to the cold, snow, reality, misery... |
Pity I have only just come across this thread and can't attend - off to ADL 17 Jan to see clients and then Conference, returning to BNE Thu 24 Jan.
My parents + aunt & uncle are there at the moment - Mon, Tues & Wed day sessions and Thurs night session, returning to BNE Friday. Pity they don't know you thadocta, otherwise I'd get them to say g'day. |
it is always very special to meet and be greeted by FT locals far away from home - thank you very much.
and such meetings (FTalkers of all ages) are also a great generation bridge (I often feel young again right afterwards, until I start walkings stairs again ...). |
Mwenenzi & thadocta,
Is there anything occurring on Fri 25th? Clifford from AFF showed interest in attending. |
| All times are GMT -6. The time now is 6:22 pm. |
