Are you sure it wasn’t because of biking rather than posting? For some, the hands and backside can be in a world of hurt after a rough bike ride but posting on FT is painless (at least to some).

The proportion of FTers who are or will become “A FlyerTalk Posting Legend” has perhaps already peaked. And that’s despite the growing prevalence of internet-connected device addiction.

IIRC, doc was the first FTer to get into the 40k+ post level. That FTer hasn’t logged in since February 2020.

I guess it would depend on how far one had to bend over...

Definitely true. While there are some who are following along in the virtual posting shoes of yourself and MSPeconomist , the vast majority of recent joining FT are now occasional posters given a) the multitude of other sites, travel and otherwise, b) few if any super mega DOs that you need to be in the know for, and c) mileage running/points accruals aren't what they used to be and the redemptions are honestly sometimes sucky. Also, very many who are long time posters hang out now in specific fora and most appear to be in their retirement years. Colonoscopy anyone?

IIRC, doc was the first FTer to get into the 40k+ post level. That FTer hasnt logged in since February 2020.
And not a good sign given pandemic statistics.

So, MSPeconomist is sitting at 99992 posts, just 8 away from the next threshold…. It has been like this for about 3 weeks…. what is keeping you from posting 8 more

doc is posting his heart away on Facebook.

This isn't directed at any posting legend; but let's face it, quality is what counts. Just sayin'.

hope those who are not posting are doing well, good to see above that doc for example just moved to facebook

i'm one of those who pretty much stopped posting, about 4 years ago. 270 posts in past 3 years vs 2400 per year average prior.

Cash in on the infamy of being part of the gang of the notoriously frequent posters?

It has brought in to focus all the other productive things I could have done with my time over the years rather than post on here

Tell me about it.

The FT Posting Legends are Posting Legends because the miles and points and travel space writ large is like one big thirst trap; but unlike with OnlyFans or Netflix (post-shared password crackdown), FT doesn’t cost a penny (or pence) for its viewers to get their jollies since the content is provided freely to FT/IB/KKR by those who are the product.
