Definitely true. While there are some who are following along in the virtual posting shoes of yourself and
MSPeconomist , the vast majority of recent joining FT are now occasional posters given a) the multitude of other sites, travel and otherwise, b) few if any super mega DOs that you need to be in the know for, and c) mileage running/points accruals aren't what they used to be and the redemptions are honestly sometimes sucky. Also, very many who are long time posters hang out now in specific fora and most appear to be in their retirement years. Colonoscopy anyone?
IIRC, doc was the first FTer to get into the 40k+ post level. That FTer hasn’t logged in since February 2020.
And not a good sign given pandemic statistics.
