I'm potentially in.
What would be really neat (if you're doing the full-fare route) is to buy and Eagle ticket and take the tram back and forth, since it passes by the A380 gates at TBIT.

UA inbound/outbound to see A380 at LAX.
I understand the A380 will be into LAX on 3/19 and outbound 3/20. I am inbound from LAS to LAX on 3/20. The plane is supposed to sit at gate 101 Intl terminal. Inbound from LAS should I be in seat- ___ ? I thought this might be of interest to others. Will there be any place to view the plane on the ground? Maybe basic information about flight paths will be of interest.

It's impossible to say which runway you'll come in on, and how soon you'll turn onto a taxiway. You may not pass the international terminal at all if you're in a small aircraft (like an A319) that doesn't need as much runway to land on.
If it were me, though, I'd sit on the left, "A" side of the plane. If you come in on one of the north runways, the left side will face the Tom Bradley International Terminal as the plane taxis to the UA concourses. If you come in on the south runways, as the aircraft turns, the A side should get a bit of a view of the TBIT. And if you land on the south runways from the west (over the ocean), you'll get a view of TBIT. Good luck!

Yeah, "A" side sounds good. Also, LAX is one of the few airports where you can really see the "whole" airport provided you're at the right vantage point. It might be worth a drink at the Encounter to check out that ugly, huge POS Scarebus.

Actually a re-check shows that I am outbound LAX to LAS on 3/19. This being the case I should pick seat 11F. Is that correct? Thanks.
