OK -- I've stepped up.
We have a reservation at Neisha Thai at Tenleytown AU Metro -- 6:30 pm on Wednesday, January 31. I've included the name FlyerTalk in the reservation -- it is for 8 people now, but it probably needs to be bigger. Please post and I'll call the restaurant with the change.

I am going to shoot for 1830 myself - but coming in from the suburbs might be just a tad bit late. But should be there definitely before you get to your second round of drinks

Unfortunately I will have to add myself to the list of No Shows. Just found out about a big presentation on Thursday and expect myself to be at work late this whole week.

Figured I'd post this here as this is something that's been discussed at length at various DC Happy Hours over the years and I'm not sure when I'll be able to make the next one...
For anyone doing the AAA thing - it ends on April 30th - BofA is taking over starting May 1st, no more MBNA.

Oh my goodness.
I called Neisha Thai to place a delivery order, and I hear this:
<To me> "Thank you for calling Nisha Thai, please hold, thank you!"
<To somebody in the restaurant> "May I help you?"
<Answer from some guy> "Yes, we have a reservation under FLYERTALK."
I thought I was hallucinating. So I came here to look and Lo! You're all eating at Neisha Thai! Had I known, I'd have shown up (I'm at Military and Connecticut at the moment).
All I can say is it was weird to call for Thai food and then hear Flyertalk!
Hope dinner was fun, and sorry I missed it!!!

So now i'm down to to the level of "some guy"?
That was me asking for the FT group (the phone did ring just as I got to the hostess desk).
And yes, you did miss a fun get-together. Thanks to those that were there, the conversation, food and drink were great and we had a fun 3-4 hours. Also thanks to Going Away and pranu for riding heard on this event.
See you at the Freddies.

... enjoy your trip.
If you're that far south, you should hit DC at just about the right time to stop in for dinner on your way home
