I can walk on over to Claredon on Sunday to join the crowd. Liberty Tavern has a nice area off the main bar with comfy lounge chairs and sofas just like at home.PS - One can reserve the lounge area ahead of time.

My NZ trip later this month has been cancelled and I'm only in town for a couple of days (and need a break) ...
Sunday works for me - let's say 6pm at Liberty Tavern
LOCATION On the corner of Wilson Boulevard and N. Irving Street in Arlington, The Liberty Tavern is easily accessible from downtown DC, Route 66, Interstate 395, and is across the street from the Clarendon Metro Station.

Liberty Tavern is on 2 floors. Dining room upstairs with the bar and lounge area on the first floor. I believe that a bar menu of pizza, salads, sandwiches are the choices in the bar section of the resturant. The dining room menu is much more extensive. So, will it be a happy hour or dinner?

Dinner sounds good for me, too. If our numbers don't grow exponentially in the next couple of days, we might even be able to fit at a single table.
