It was my first MR and as you can tell from my post count I am still pretty new around here. I usually fly 60 to 65K miles per year and this will be the first time to make DL platinum thanks to the LAX MR I just did. My return was booked for the 11pm redeye back to Atlanta, but none of the flights were full that day so I walked off the plane and less than 30 minutes later I got back on the same plane headed back to ATL from LAX. The DL GA was very helpful in assisting with the LAX ATL return and the connection from ATL to BHM, but was only able to confirm me on an 11pm from ATL to BHM even though I knew there was a much earlier flight for that segment. I got lucky in ATL and the BHM flight was leaving from the same terminal where I arrived from LAX so I went directly to that gate and the GA was again very helpful and just sent me on the plane to "take any empty seat". I was back in BHM by 8pm. I am headed to PIT next week and hope to meet some FT folks down the road somewhere.
